Johan Ickx


Johan Ickx (1962) studied religious sciences,
theology and philosophy at the Catholic
University of Leuven and got his doctorate
in church history at the Pontificia Università
Gregoriana. He worked as academic assistant of
the Archivum Historiae Pontificiae, official of
the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith
and official and archivist of the Tribunal of the
Apostolic Penitentiary. At the moment he is head
of the Historical Archive, Section for Relations
with States of the Secretariat of State. He published
on several subjects related to the history of the
Church in the Middle Ages and in the 19th-20th
centuries.
